Sure there were reruns of Speed Racer and the always kick-ass Johnny Quest (itself an only one season survivor) but this was the show that appealed to the 10-year old car kid before I saw car-fix shows. this was my car fix. The Pole Position cartoon. Somehow adapted from the Arcade game of the same name that I pumped endless quarters into trying to break 300mph. Funny I don't remember a sister car to my team and fighting crimes while driving the test and fuji tracks.

It's funny how that happens. Some things are just a sudden interest and then later looked back on as, "What was I thinking?" (such as the piano sheet music to play VanHalen's Jump or Axel-F) In this case not so much becuase the Pole Position theme was awesome and for ever will be awesome. just liten to the vocalist shout out the words...you know he was totally jamming in the studio. Money makes them belt it out I'm sure.

I swear to you the only thing I remember about that show is the theme song! Nothing else! The game, now that I remember vividly.
